OK, I took your positivity in discussing Jay as a positive to my question.
So why would you think it was called off if the patients had benefited and had not then reached disease progression? If they were symptom free, the drug should have been continued, end of story.
If the drug failed at some point and cancer returned, then that is just cause as per trial protocol to discontinue it.
Right to try? They already had it. Why was it taken away? The clinical hold did not pertain to them, right? HIV and covid only were put on hold till aggregated data.
