Watching the FDA's actions and response to the baby formula fiasco as well as other agencies in reacting to what is going on certainly highlights the fact that cytodyn is certainly not being singled out. The WSJ has a story where private shipments of formula are being destroyed by customs. The decision making and processes being followed are almost like they are actively trying acerbate the issue instead of trying to resolve them. I think they think they are trying to help but they appear to have no common sense or ability to react on the fly making decisions based on what is appropriate instead of what is a cover your ass move. I think they honestly think that if they have a couple good people manage the process and distribution through the country they can fix it, as opposed to simply getting out of the way and letting a few thousand companies, shippers and individual people adapt and figure it out. If they would get the regs out of the way Amazon could fix the problem in a couple weeks. I'm sure the FDA is looking for Abbott to refile some form with the correct box checked and then will review it at their quarterly industry panel symposium in 4 weeks. Seems like the same story of CYDY (and others) in 2020/21. Its pretty unbelievable to see the our country receiving emergency shipments of formula after 75 years of being about the only country able provide emergency anything to the rest of the world in a moments notice.
The biggest problem cytodyn has is not proving it works, it is working through this dysfunctional system, regulations and staff. We need to get a fully competent staff, CEO and BOD that can navigate through all the BS.
It seems like we are doing this based on what appears to have changed with operations and hopefully the pestell settlement is either just a one off or maybe one of those lawsuits where you just end up taking a bite of the sh!t sandwich because its the least worse choice of several crappy options, but i'll admit its pretty frustrating and i dont understand the why this settlement is a good thing for cydy. The tea leaves are very hard to read on this one or they are perfectly clear and i'm refusing to believe what it implies.
