The big companies like Exxon and such own their own land land in the US. What made us energy independent was was the land that small companies in ND and others were using fracking on public land . Biden pulled all their leases. electric is not more efficient t in the USA. Utilities have to fire up gas turbines during air conditioning load only 35% efficient. Transmission lines lose 10% and electric car has 80%.so 35% total. New engines from Toyota and Mazda are 40 %. Electric we have to build so much new infrastructure to lose 5% efficiency
