thanks for the dd anyway-the ship sites arent always the easiest to use and I havent been checking them very often-have mostly been containers when I've checked. Last -ship -from Bao Steel-went to Vancouver and LA to offload finished products from China before loading CWRN's ore for return ship to China.
We are looking for a cargo (non container) ship-45 k tons iron ore at port so a ship that can haul ALL of that would need to be a few thousand tons bigger to allow for weight of people fuel and ballast. Ship wouldnt necessarily have to haul all but that would be best considering how long port ore has been there w govt games mentioned in 6-25-12 PR
For the fertilizer -which should go to the USA-last we heard to Portland Oregon-anybodies guess as to size of ship-had ca 125,000 tons fert as of June 2012 and more now.
If OMRI- HQ in Eugene Oregon, acts as a clearinghouse /agent for its coop members and stores fert for distribution to its members, the ship could be very large- the Ensenada port can handle up to ca a 105k ton ship w a port depth of 47 feet. Deepest port on Pacific last I looked was LA at 53 feet.
