Lt. Governor Boyd mentions at minute 8-12 about telehealth and the hold up. These bills require signatures to move this forward. The emergency orders will be in place till 2023... this is intentional so that the state can revamp its telehealth platform. He mentions this at minute 9:20. The Preserve telehealth act of 2021 keeps all this rolling forward. It looks like there was some pushback within the health care system (private hospitals) and so the commission was created.
The main Governor Hogan just announced he as cancer. Gov. Boyd is a big proponent of mental health and telehealth. It's ironic the meeting summarizes Univec services and how much demand it is on the State.
Stay tuned... I think when they will announce the State wide healthcare IT overhaul + there will be subcontracts handed out to people like doc in due course.
