Dr. Kelly in touch w/anyone re: compassionate use of LL since the start of ‘22? Clinical holds on HIV/active COVID are clear but as ohm said hold is not on Long Haulers so study/trial design there can continue. So the drug remains available on some level. But it’s unclear what newly initiated compassionate use is possible.
I ask about Dr. K contact as I tried direct to him in Fall ‘21, a friend who is a doctor/pancreatic with liver mets patient tried direct to him in Winter ‘21 all throughout the terrible awful 13D struggle strangle mess. Thinking the treating physician making contact was the missing link, friend’s treating physician agreed to use LL and made contact in February ‘22, yes after the comm lockdown but before the holds. Nothing.
I contacted the HQ in the last month at the spot where one calls for access in trial/study/therapy to LL. It’s a lean outfit so no expectation for callback.
The urgency was less palpable in Fall ‘21 as chemo resistance was not happening and some side benefit of other meds keeping his immune system strong reduced tumors. But the first line chemo drugs for this indication begin to lose efficacy 12-18 months after initiation. It’s month 10 now.
Thoughts? Insights? Help! Many thanks.
