I get what you are saying & it could very well be correct.
"under the cover of darkness" resonates because where written agreements are concerned, I would think that if either party honored their part it would be quickly resolved in litigation. Seems logical. But I was once told that the dollar amounts of law suits change the timeline & process. Not saying this is the case, but that the law is not always logical.
