The answer is simple. The market for years has been gamed.
The ones that make money are the leaders and fast majority are followers.
Take a look at the average 20 something year old's schedule D and you'll see AMC, Gamestop, DOGE and all the other MEME schtick
Unfortunately VERB got roped into that club and Rory was eating it up at the time. I figured it would be short lived. The good news is the .70 or whatever will be too. I suspect the same followers will all jump on the bandwagon again when a few leaders let their 'club' in on it.
You mentioned Alliance Global. What if some knew everything they touched would be shorted to death?
Pretty easy to do. You put a high enough valuation so the company eats it up and misses.
