I don't think it's the S3. Almost all tech companies raise money. People that bash companies know that, but it's easy to sell the fear. If fact, if companies like Salesforce didn't for all the years they were losing money right and left, investors would have bailed. Counter intuitive I know, but institutions that invest in companies, get that they raise money to grow. If Verb didn't raise money. we'd be sitting here with brighttools.
Market coming out in the Summer may have given some that were going to flip on the news, reason to leave now. Maybe forgetting that Market is already out and companies are already using it. Maybe also forgetting that even if Market isn't public until the Summer, doesn't mean more big named brands won't get announce like some we seen already.
As an investor, I ask myself...
Self, would I like to see Market launched with?
A.) 1 company
B.) 10 companies
C.) 100 companies
D.) 1,000 companies
I'd say somewhere between C & D
The more companies, the greater success and instant revenue. They already have 100. Probably they are chomping at the bit too for Market to open.
Imagine a big shopping mall if they opened with 1 store. Doesn't work that way. You sign all the leases and build out the stores. Then a grand opening.
