CCR5 was once thought inconsequential beyond HIV viral entry, but is now recognized as central to the intersection of, and transition from, the innate and adaptive immune responses.
“CCR5, a chemokine receptor central for orchestrating lymphocyte/cell migration to the sites of inflammation and to the immunosurveillance, is involved in the pathogenesis of a wide spectrum of health conditions, including inflammatory diseases, viral infections, cancers and autoimmune diseases.”
It is difficult to overstate potential of Leronlimab and the impact of modulating (not suppressing) the immune response.
