To me a buyout for the UNVC Conglomerate seems highly unlikely, -based on what I know about the man (Doc) himself.
Why would Doc work for 20 years to be an earth-moving, life-changing, positive force in health care, just to sell out at the end for money?
IMO, -Changing our healthcare system for the better means everything to Doc at this point, and making more money means very little to him (he's already done that).
