They could sell shares - but won't until there is some catalyst to support the SP. Doing a PIPE right now would mean they would have to sell at a discount to the current SP, plus warrants. Not a good deal for the company.
My thought for some time has been that they will report NASH data (that is hopefully really good) which will
(i) be a positive catalyst for the SP. At that point they can sell more shares at a more attractive price. and/or
(ii) attract a partner for NASH
I still think it's option 1, but i'd be happy either way assuming we have good NASH data.
