Nice posting dbergh, I wish Trump would have at least toned down in his last year in office. Too many people go to work and just don't want to understand what is really happening. When the day comes that the US is invaded by someone like Putin then many people will wake up. No doubt I believe it is safe to say Democrats may try but will never be successful in taking our firearms away.

Now with all the BS from each party is the reason I have noted in this message thread that the Presidential term should be 2 - 6 year terms with the possibility of a 3rd 6 year term meaning a possibility of 18 years. My reasoning for that is simple. A dictator serves at least 20-30 years and possibly more. In our system ( with the exception of Trump) nothing gets done in the first two years with all the fighting and BS.
