As we've seen in the lungs the virus can cause immediate damage due to apoptosis but the majority of damage is inflammatory. Inflammation can cause widespread vasculature damage and impact sperm counts. I have pointed out in the past that leronlimab can help erectile dysfunction that is caused by inflammation.

Saying that the virus itself is causing erectile dysfunction rather than the accompanying inflammation is probably erroneous.
