How is this last deal with Welch "a poison pill situation"?
As I understood, management gave IP as collateral, which means if CYDY cannot repay the dept, Welch has access to our crown jewels. How does this protect against a hostile takeover attempt? If BP takes over Cytodyn, it will default immediately on CYDYs dept? Makes no sense.
I hope they have negotiated a few million USD upfront cash for this exclusive (?) silent period.
Going into a silent period with no money and a steadily declining shareprice does not look like a sophisticated strategy. What if the deal fell through or takes much longer as anticipated? Are they going to raise money at 20 or 10 cents in a few weeks? Samsung will not wait forever ...
