Re: Shelly2626 #118988
I think the requirement to replace the CEO is not only misplaced thinking as priority one, but could be an unnecessary step with the obvious caveat, or might be a recipe for retarding progress. There is the long spool up getting up to speed: “Here is the Red-Phone direct line to Christine Corrado,” and “Tell me about these Cytodyn mugs, in your own words.” Not saying a top shelf CEO would not be helpful, but I fear the fire drill orientation, kind of like what the US crew faced when they had to do an emergency dive on U571 during WW2, all the dials etc in German.
There is the well worn line in research “In God we trust, everyone else must show data.” First and foremost we need data; that could well be in hand and if so it is not critical to have a CEO at the table, you need your seasoned hands that can speak to the data around the boardroom table, with head of business development ensuring the coffee keeps flowing to those Cytodyn mugs as the “Forward Together” agenda item gets discussed with interested parties; the latter are not interested in the Red Phone, they want to know to know if the runway at Pearson Field Airport is long enough to bring in the gold bullion on their corporate jet needed to do “business development.” We’ll throw in a free coffee mug with the deal, and a signature from Christine Corrado verifying authenticity.
