“A lack of hope or confidence…”

After first confirming from my wife I am not delusional (unfortunately this doesn’t always work), I prefer to come down on the side of hope; it tends to quiet the soul a bit. To borrow a line from Andy in that great movie Shawshank Redemption: “Remember, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”

While I hope, I will entertain thoughts of being on the beach in that final movie scene.
