I've wandered the Black River in kayaks, canoes, and small boats many times over the years.
I consider Sparkleberry to be my "home swamp". As a boy, I lived no more than about 12 to 15 miles from there and have spent countless hours fishing, hunting, kayaking, etc., it's very beautiful waters.
