Please stop using the false premise "Nader was re-elected, but now...."
He was not running against anyone. He was not chosen over another candidate. If you look at the actual vote counts, he did NOT get as many votes as the other board members. Many people withheld their votes, to send a message that they were unhappy with him in a position of power.
The Board of Directors did not fire someone who was popular with everyone and "was just re-elected by shareholders ! ! ! "
They got rid of an officer who, in the opinion of many shareholders, had damaged the company with intemperate statements -- and many of those shareholders showed their unhappiness.
It was good that 13D failed in their bid to take over the company.
And in my opinion, it is good that this Board got rid of Nader, or that he stepped down with a better severance package due to being "fired," whichever the case may be.
Craig will now post "but he WAS fired, just look at the press release, he was terminated." We know, Craig, we know. Don't bother. The legal definition of termination is not my point here.
