I would have no problem with updates, if management actually did what they said they were going to do WHEN they said they were going to do it in the updates instead of giving updates with meaningless dates that the shorts just laugh at and the rest of us cringe about.
Updates are only meaningful if those giving them make them meaningful by following through.
Are most of your stocks pre-revenue biotech? If not, I think you're comparing apples to oranges. Amazon, IBM, Apple...they don't need to provide updates often because a) they're pretty stable; and b) people more or less trust that management is doing a bang-up job
