That being said, if Sidley was approached by CYDY, it is quite possible that Sidley said "Normally we don't take on a client like you, but given the litigation that you're facing, if you can come up with a $1mm retainer, we're interested."

We just honestly don't know, and I don't care to make it another sunshine and rainbows scenario where itty bitty CYDY is smiled upon by a giant because they can see what no one else can. Business is business and there is no way that Sidley took on CYDY's litigation without a sizeable retainer. That's just how it ALWAYS works. But you already know this...
