Market Makers playing games
I had a buy out there that wasn't showing up on the bid or Level 2. I had to look multiple times to make sure it wasn't an AON as shares were selling at my bid. Every time I looked there were always 7K-8Kish shares on the bid and fewer on the ask.
Sure enough 99.9% of the shares got executed at once. Nice trick hiding buying demand. For those that think, just pay a penny more and get the shares. There wasn't a lot of asks' that I saw.
Pretty typical to tamp down good news, especially with all that is imminent
