Zadie...I always got my yearly flu shot and was ok with that and then this damn virus which had turn most of this world upside down. I generally get the typical flu shot around September each year but in 2021 I did my two covid vaccines in Feb and Mar and then my yearly physical with my primary doctor. His PA came in as usual and asked if I got my typical yearly flu shot and I just said I believe my wife has that scheduled form me next week or possibly the week after and that ended that subject. Matter of fact I'm not going to get my yearly flu shot in September 2022 either. I don't have a problem with needles but these chemicals are screwing up far too many people so each individual should decide on their own if they want any of these shots/vaccines. I don't believe in extreme left nor extreme right and yes we are taking a chance either way on these vaccines.
I recall another rough edge when I was doing my yearly the PA said now it is time to do the memory thingy. I looked at him and said you know I have a headache and don't feel up to it and if you don't recall last year I was being a smart a$$ and asked you which way do you want me to repeat those names. I said I can do it backwards or forwards and I did both ways back to back. Of course he didn't remember but I smiled at him and he said you know medicare might not pay for this office visit because you don't feel like doing the memory test. I said that will be the day I pay them they don't pay me nor do you so I told him of course we all forget stuff but for you to judge or request that and then comment that medicare might not pay is a crock of crap and furthermore we will never do a memory test again but on top of that I didn't ask for the service. I told him I have medicare A/B original not some HMO or one of those Advantage plans. I have AARP United Healthcare plan "J" and I also bought a "D" plan for medication. I have extensive physical issues so I need to buy the best options that I can. that J plan covers me in Europe but I probably will never see some of those Countries.
As for the viruses in general I believe we all try and do our best under the conditions that require common sense or perhaps not to venture too far and is why we have friend that sometime we need to hear like are you sure you don't want to wear a mask today. The seeds planted by our friends or from us to them just may help on just that one day that it counts. So at times I wear a mask and other time I don't. I dropped off a Netflix movies for return in at the post office general around 8pm and it is inside the building. The slot where the mail drop is is about 40 feet from the front door and every time I drop those off and just before I reach the automatic doors I take a big breath of air and don't breath until I'm back outside. As you can imagine this is at night and no mask so that is my little weird thingy I do....nothing like a bit of true humor from me.
Have good night time for bed gotta drive around 120 miles to a funeral tomorrow be back late afternoon.
