Could be why Omicron infections are milder .. prior cellular immunity, which works better than humoral immunity / antibodies when the virus mutates.
Now if we knew about who gets serious disease and why .. baseline inflammation level? and who gets long haulers and why, we could be getting somewhere.
Recent article in WSJ reviewed how fluvoxamine is cheap safe drug to prevent serious disease. $4 for a course versus hundreds or thousands for new oral pills with safety issues or IV antibodies that mostly don't work for new variants.
