No president when presented with the plans for Warp Speed would have done other than Trump. The vax companies were by no means certain that they had the technology to produce vaxxes for emergency use that fast.

However, neither would any president but Trump scoff at masks, social distancing and THEN not promote the vaxxes until LAST f'ing week. How do you account for that lethally irresponsible behavior?

The economy tanked because businesses shut down for the safety of their employees and customers. Trump's junk science, denial of reality driven, bullshit response didn't help.
