"If a company announces an upcoming soft launch it should announce the product was soft launched once it happens. I haven't seen any such announcement."
Soft launches are not expected to make big splashes, hence SOFT launch. Not only are soft launches a preview of a product release, they are typically shown to a limited audience PRIOR to being released to the general public so they can work out any bugs or add more features they may not have thought of. They want to make sure everything works as expected. Makes sense if you think about it.
I wouldn't expect much movement in the SP due to the soft launch if that is where you were goin with your statement about no announcement. Imo, the market response will happen when the product is officially released and people are using it.
