Who really knows. You have to think he is feeling some tremendous pressure.
Personally I think he tweeted due to all of the commotion with all the comments and messages he is receiving.
Not saying I agree or disagree with all of the comments. I have made some myself.

So maybe he is attempting to douse the fire a bit.
Of course that could also be interpreted as delaying.

The big question is delaying for what and when.

Which puts us back to square one in speculating. Lol.
