Yeah, I saw this a while back and that was the end of my ambivalence about whether or not the FDA has been fully captured by Big Pharma. They, and Congressmen and women who take large donations from BP were complicit in the Opioid Epidemic up to their eyeballs. The head of the FDA at that time, who quashed any resistance to Oxycontin et. al. later took a cushy job with one of the opioid makers. And our old friend Janet Woodcock was in charge of CEDR when they allowed Purdue to claim that "Oxycontin was not likely to be addictive." How'd that turn out??? Criminal!
