Your perspective from a business point of view is totally correct. I have built sales forces and it does not happen overnight. Hiring, training, weeding, and product knowledge are the cornerstones of a functioning sales force.
We need a bolt-on sales force that is already connected to the industry. IF we go alone...and falter...we will be fair game to the watchers. Once adopted by a Big Brother...the right big brother...we will be protected in the Pharma neighborhood.
A Partner on an indication... will be a huge step in that direction. A vote consensus...will drive the effort one way or the other.
