My opinion: 1) doc said "yes" when asked about quiet period. If he laid out in detail WHY he's in a quiet period then that in itself would be a violation of said quiet period. If he said, " quiet period because this, this, and that happening behind the scenes and in 12 days it's going to be huge" that would be a blatant violation. 2) what if it is a precautionary self-imposed quiet period just to be safe because what he's about to release is bigger than we all thought. Doc has worked too long and too hard for all of this to blow up because of a tweet or LinkedIn post. One simple mistake could easily be misconstrued as insider trading. I think doc has gone past the point of no return now. Too many companies, names, and reputations are at stake. I think that by dec 31 or first 2 wks of jan we will all be very happy. Of course, if we're having this same conversation in Feb then we'll know something is terribly wrong. Just my 2 cents..
