Rising inflation, retirement at age 102 ........................


Rising Inflation is not just an American phenomenon, it is a global phenomenon. Besides the supply/demand economics, the main driver of rising inflation is increasing money supply, as astronomical amount of money is being printed around the world, chasing after finite and limited natural resources, naturally commodity prices will rise. As money supplies grow exponentially, the world will be heading for a long period of hyper inflation, eroding the purchasing power of paper money. Rising inflation is not transitory or temporary, the average annual inflation rate after compounding over the past 40 years is around 10%, in other words, cost of living has gone up 4 times from 40 years ago, but many essentials such as rent and gasoline have gone up 10 times. Those in the retirement with fixed income or approaching retirement beware, at current 6% inflation cost of living will be at least double 12 years from now, but if money supply will increase exponentially, "retirement" will only be an impossible dream for many people and the number of homeless people will rise.
