I was looking for ways to lower my PPS average and ended up selling my prized toy (Jeep) last Friday. I took those funds and was able to purchase around 14,000 shares yesterday once my funds cleared.
My average share price in that account is $1.83
The past two years I have max’s out my Roth with Cytodyn shares.
Question: in January when I add to my Roth for 2022 would it be counterproductive to sell’s shares in my brokerage account and then buy back in my Roth? I think I may be taxed around 23% when I sell but feel in the long run I may be better off especially if the price skyrockets.
I’m curious if anyone else has done this?
