People who wear seat belts can die in a car accident, but they die at much lower rates than people who don't wear seat belts and get thrown through the windshield.

People who are vaccinated get infected at a much lower rate than the unvaccinated, are hospitalized at a much lower rate, and die at a hugely lower rate. They also do not spread the infection for as long a time period as the unvaccinated infected people do, and they exude la smaller amount of viable virus. All statements backed up by science.
