transparency and tighter restrictions has been the long term trend

which has been greatly exacerbated by the political purpose which took over in 2009 in fulfillment of the political leaders purpose to destroy business since 'all business is evil and must be destroyed'
there are deeper purposes also- you cant create a one world govt when the strongest empire in history stands in the way- so you have to weaken that empire from the inside
