I spoke this week with a friend who is a fellow Cytodyn investor, physician and biomedical device entrepreneur. In his opinion the Canadian approval, though only for a single patient, is significant.
Health Canada is apparently far more conservative than the USA FDA or EU EMA, with (absurdly?) rigorous approval processes, even for single patients.
This approval under emergency use indicates both the strength of the evidence presented to Health Canada and the persistence of Cytodyn in advancing Leronlimab.
