I know that it is an Arab or Middle Eastern type of mentality... and I wouldn't be surprised but all entitled to opinions on this sort of thing... whether grown men, educated, mature... it's about human nature, culture, social norms, etc.

Greed? Of course, maybe above much else in most human frailty and faults... truly unfortunate since ultimately for all there is death... whereby no one in the world takes anything with them...
