Reactivation of CMV/EBV infection ties up the innate cellular response, with subsequent impaired response to acute infection by Covid. However, Covid infection, but also immunosuppressant steroids and stress can promote reactivation.
Leronlimab should restore immune dysfunction. I’ll be very interested to see what Dr Recknor has learned from p2 LH and the trial structure of P3.
