Nov 10, 2021, - Vimeo to Acquire WIREWAX and Wibbitz, Further Expanding Its Video Software Solution for the Enterprise

""WIREWAX was built for the video-first future, evolving video to be a lean-in, fully engaging experience," said Steve Callanan, CEO, WIREWAX. "Marrying WIREWAX with Vimeo's video leadership and global scale will put the power of next-generation interactive video into the hands of millions of users . It's an exciting step to be joining Vimeo and contributing to helping organizations unleash their creativity and produce engaging experiences that drive better business outcomes, from shoppable videos to boost sales, to entirely new ways to improve training, education, and customer service."

Will?

Millions of users already have used Verb

40,000 users of Wirewax according to their website

You probably remember me posting about Wirewax a number of time

It ain't cheap. Starts at a $1000/mo and goes way up after that. I think they were the company that charged up to $500K for one video?

Remember last month I posted...

Brightcove acquires HapYak's technology to advance video interactivity

https://seekingalpha.com/news/3752842-brightc...eractivity

Was a little confusing as the same day Newsela said they acquired HapYak

https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/news...99926.html

You go to their website and it turns out to be true. They bought bought HapYak

https://corp.hapyak.com/

Not enough interactive video companies to meet the acquisition demand it seems

This is what you'd expect to see on a sizzling hot area like interactive video and live ecommerce streaming.

But there is a catch. I don't think either of those companies have Live eCommerce Streaming, let alone like Verb.

So what does this show?

Big companies are chomping at the bit to get into interactive videos

So now you can see why Blackrock bought 7 times more Verb. For those that don't know, BlackRock is the world's largest asset manager, with US $9.46 trillion in assets they manage.

They could buy any stock and chose to get in on interactive video and live streaming ecommerce through Verb

Oh, they like BCOV and VMEO too

Yup that 10 Trillion dollar asset manager loves interactive video technology

BTW: No need to run over to iFudge 10 minutes later and repost info posted here. You do nothing except feed the chimps on the short board, unless that is your intent? They don't like ice cream, banana pops, nor dixie cups.
