The 50-patient interim readout in Brazil - another possible take.
Maybe the objective isn't statistical significance, but only to get excellent "apparent benefits outweigh known risks" results out immediately to all institutions and the public.
That could vastly accelerate the remaining trial enrollment, even if it falls well short of an EUA.
