i was also confused with the 50 patient interim analysis.
in reality, the SP has already sold off on the prospect of COVID being less of a play given the Pfizer news, etc. - so at this point i'd actually be fine taking the extra time to get more patients for a better result.
put another way, can we afford another "not great" result in COVID. i for one, would rather just have it take longer and give a better chance of hitting the result we need.
