For those of you who has never used telehealth, let me tell you it is wonderful. My wife had a heart ablation at UAB hospital in Birmingham. That's about 1 hour drive, then all the downtown traffic, parking, waiting in the doctor's waiting room, then driving back home. Almost a full days event. Her doctor's office called and set up a time for her to be ready for a call from her cardiologist. At 10:15 her phone rang and there was her doctor sitting at his desk-they had about a 15 minute discussion, then that was it. No driving, waiting-just sitting on the couch talking with her doctor. Telehealth is wonderful.
