I agree that we need therapeutics, including Leronlimab, immediately.
Virusus mutate. The rate of mutation is more the issue. The flu virus mutates at a rate that allows it to be endemic. COVID likely will as well.
Over time the virulence if viruses tends to decrease, favoring more infections strains. This happens with or without vaccines.
The common cold is a coronavirus. One that very well could have been a pandemic when it first arrived.
The reality is that about 80% of Americans have antibodies (as confirmed by blood bank testing).
It appears that we are transitioning from the pandemic phase to the endemic phase.
The need for therapeutics is not going away. Ohm has suggested that LL may be beneficial for other virus induced inflammatory responses as well (flu, future viruses)
