IMO remember just because LL is available doesn't mean patients or doctors automatically will take it. While we know it to be a fantastic and effective therapeutic for not only covid but other illnesses and cancers, Cytodyn is a small company and people are going to be more inclined to go with bigger names associated with a therapeutic or a therapeutic that has been around because its their life involved and those big names seem safer.

To your other point about other trials, seems there are quite a few. Below are links to announcements about covid therapeutic trials either starting in Brazil or just finished and these are from this year. Found these with a quick google search for Brazil trials for covid therapeutics.

There was another Brazil trial going on testing a cholesterol lowering pill that has been around for years with good results, but I cant seem to find the article or name.
