None of the three VIPs treated by LL has publicly acknowledged being saved by it. This could not be a coincidence. I see two reasons for the upper crust of Filipino class system to be shy about LL while benefiting from it. First, the majority of Filipino people cannot afford LL. 20% of Filipino families live on less than USD 175 a month. It's not in the interest of the ruling class to let the people know that the life saving drug their "VIPs" get is out of their reach. Being poor vs being rich is one thing, being dead vs being alive is quite another. Especially, in the presence of a Communist Party with deep roots in the country. After all it's well-known that Duterte himself was Sison's student and follower before "selling out to Yankee imperialism and its local elites."
Secondly, the VIP class looks divided between the anti-LL majority rallied by their FDA and some leading hospitals subservient to US Big Pharma and FDA, on the one hand, and the pro-LL rising minority around the CDC PH, with its more democratic mandate, and a group of activist MDs.
