Maybe. This sure doesn't make Microsoft look good. I actually don't think Verb needs the co-sell to sell VerbMail. I think it would sell itself. Send a VerbMail to your CMO and watch their jaw drop.
What Verb may have been using this evening is Azure Media Services for live and on-demand streaming.
Something investors may not realize...
Verb already has VerbMail integrated into Outlook. I 'think' that is already moved over to run on the Microsoft platform last time I looked at the code. This is recorded videos which is very different than live streaming.
So why did Verb bother porting over VerbLIVE to Microsoft when VerbMail is already there? Why do all that work for a one time event? Keep in mind Microsoft already has Teams, Yammer and Stream for Live events.
I would assume it's because there is a lot more coming with the partnership with Microsoft. What likely happened is Microsoft said 30 times it's going to work fine. The problem with Live events is, it's really, really, really hard to actually fully test them without having one.
I believe Microsoft will resolve this, otherwise they will have few people using Azure streaming services.
Other than the resolution on a bigger screen (iPhone was great(, I thought the event went well and was shocked when Rory discussed the issues. I hope they can post the 30 minute event so others can see that weren't able to join.
