Let's put the shorts' expenses in a visual to see how their nuts are in a vice that's getting tightened....OK...for academic sake we're going to imagine they do have those....
Since the beginning of Sep 21, the fee to borrow has gone up from 10% to over 100% and has on occasion hit almost 133%.
This is a variable rate fee and is calculated daily for each share shorted.
I wonder how the hell people can do this. At this point it's like every chamber in the cylinder is occupied...and they're raising the gun to their head....and keep telling themselves...
"...it'll be OK this time...it'll be OK...."
