I am definitely seeing more sick covid patients recently than over the last 4-5 months.
As predicted, Delta finds those who are unvaccinated and impacts the vaccinated who are older, have underlying health issues and have apparent waning protection from vaccination early in the year.
The most startling impacts are the profound tachycardia and tachypnea. I transported recently an unvaccinated obese 60+ male with RR over 40 and HR over 140 at rest, jumping to 200, just standing from a chair to lie on the stretcher.
Truly frightening.
Covid is never going away.
Leronlimab, whenever it is finally approved, will still be needed.
