Very cool find. I was not aware of this CCR5 antagonist.
Lithospermum Erythrorhizon derived shikonin , in addition to down-regulating CCR5 cell surface expression, also down-regulates CCL5/RANTES (or at least the mouse model equivalent, mRANTES).
