Well we are already quite a bit down that slippery slope. "regardless of injury to others" is a pretty ambiguous excuse to allow the government to control your life.
It all depends on who is in charge, what they decide is "injury to others" and the day they make a decision which changes at a whim and when its wrong gets forgotten in 2 seconds.
