Blind optimism would be "We don't have a clue about whether this drug has any effect but we just know it will work". Just to clue you in - We have data, we know where the flaws were in the CD12 trial and they have been corrected. There's nothing blind about basing judgment on facts. Besides your outlook isn't hope it's blind pessimism.
